About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Global Networks Controller, this leadership role is responsible for the overall accounting controllership of the EMEA Networks segment. Key duties include managing financial close processes, leading regional accounting teams, overseeing budgets, statutory filings, and building relationships with stakeholders globally. The role ensures compliance, internal controls, and efficient processes, supporting growth and integration projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the EMEA Networks controllership organization of approximately 80 employees in Warsaw, Poland.
• Manage financial close, ensure accurate accounting, maintain SOX compliance, and oversee statutory filings across multiple countries.
• Coordinate with external auditors, local authorities, and management to ensure statutory and tax compliance.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including CFOs and controllers across EMEA.
• Lead system integrations, process improvements, and support major projects like acquisitions and ERP implementations.
• Ensure internal controls, manage audit processes, and communicate accounting impacts on business operations.

About You

• Extensive accounting experience with US GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and local GAAPs.
• Proven supervisory experience, preferably as a Controller.
• CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification required.
• Bachelor’s in Accounting; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• Strong leadership, technical, and analytical skills, with experience managing statutory filings and working in a SOX environment.
• Experience with SAP and system implementations, and working with regional CFOs.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and willing to travel up to 10-15% annually.
