Overview

Location: Kraków preferred. Other cities may be considered; however, the candidate must be willing to travel to the client’s office in Kraków at least once a month. Salary: 120 – 150 PLN net/h.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the end-to-end testing strategy for BigData, SAS SPDE data migration.
• Design test plans for data conversion, pipeline validation, and code compatibility.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure test coverage across all deliverables.
• Manage defect lifecycle and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including tenants, ITSOs, architecture / design team teams, network team and vendor SMEs.
• Support user training and onboarding for new environments.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in testing Big Data and Data Platform solutions
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Operating Systems: Linux, shell scripting
  • Storage Systems: Hadoop/HDFS, S3/VAST, Teradata, PostgreSQL
  • File Formats: Avro, ORC, Parquet (SPDE is a plus)
  • Table Formats: Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg
  • Processing Engines: Hive, Spark (experience with Starburst or Databricks is a plus)
  • Programming Languages: SAS, Python
• Hands-on experience in building and validating large-scale data pipelines and automation frameworks
• Solid understanding of DML operations, dataset partitioning, and Altair SLC
• Ability to manage complex testing environments independently
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in English at B2 level or higher

Nice to Have

• Experience with Altair tools and vendor coordination
• Familiarity with SAS technologies like SAS Macros, DI, DI Studio, and stored processes
