Role : Test Automation Engineer

Location : Krakow Poland (1 day per week onsite) or remote is fine

Contract : B2B

Duration : 6 months extendable to 1 year

Role Purpose

The Software Engineer in Test Automation is responsible for:

• Test Automation Framework development and maintenance
• Development, planning and execution of automated test cases
• Adhering to standards for software development, testing and the subsequent release into production while ensuring all related documentation is completed fully.
• Maintaining the highest quality of developed tools and created tests by applying extensive testing skills, domain knowledge and software development standards and good practices.

Role Context

• Applying specialist expertise to undertake the day-to-day responsibilities of the test automation development process, organize and participate in the review and analysis of appropriate documentation.
• Determining automation needs and ensuring smooth project implementations.
• Developing strong planning and resource forecasting techniques.
• Developing software solutions aimed at automating testing and test-related activities.
• Undertaking test execution, recording and analyzing test results, investigating and progressing error procedures for any faults found, and making recommendations on the final quality of the product and its suitability for promotion to the live environment.
• Reporting progress and escalating problems to the Testing Team Leader/Manager ensuring adherence to development timescales.
• Developing and maintaining good communications and relationships, both internal and external to the Bank as a representative of the testing team.
• Participating in meetings concerning project activities.
• Automating test scripts in cooperation with business, development, and environment support teams.
• Updating project documentation on an ongoing basis.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

Knowledge :

• Working knowledge of testing software like Selenium, JIRA, Confluence
• Knowledge of Java, SQL, Selenium, VBScript, HTML, XML, PCOMM
• Working knowledge of software development platforms like GitHub, IntelliJ
• Knowledge of banking processes, organizational structures and their functions.
• Knowledge of testing methodology
• Agile Methodology
• ISTQB Foundation or equivalent - nice to have

Experience :

• Experience in automated testing of IT Systems and automation framework development of 2 to 3 years
• Experience in object-oriented development in Java or similar min. 1 year
• Experience in working in Agile-oriented teams min. 1 year

Skills :

• Ability to develop and maintain object-oriented application code
• Ability to execute Test Plan, UAT and Bug Tracking reports
• Ability to grasp and learn business subjects quickly especially on financial subjects and bring added value on software homologation process.
• Ability to enhance a global view on software.
• Autonomy, communication skills, ability to maintain good relationships with other teams.
• Knowledge of English and ability to manage a complex workload.
• Proactive and self-motivated attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work within an international environment.
