We are currently supporting our Client – a well-established, international company within the industrial sector, with a Shared Service Center located in the Silesia region (Katowice area) – in hiring for the position of Technical Accounting Lead (US GAAP) – Group Level.

In this position, you will become part of an international finance team and will have a direct impact on shaping the Group’s accounting policies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and continuously developing the Group Accounting Manual under US GAAP, ensuring consistency and practical application across the organization,
  • Translating US GAAP requirements into accounting policies and supporting their implementation across entities and countries,
  • Preparing technical accounting memos for complex and non-standard transactions,
  • Acting as the key US GAAP expert within the Group, supporting finance teams and driving best practices,
  • Monitoring updates in accounting standards and regulations and assessing their impact on the organization,
  • Supporting the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reporting for a NASDAQ-listed company,
  • Driving improvements and simplifications in accounting policies and financial processes,
  • Supporting external audits and engaging in technical discussions with auditors,
  • Delivering US GAAP training to finance teams across the international structure,
  • Supporting and enhancing the internal control environment (SOX), including design and testing of controls.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A university degree (preferably in Finance or a related field)
  • At least 6 years of experience in audit, accounting advisory, or group accounting (Big4 background is a strong advantage)
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ability to apply it in practice
  • US CPA qualification
  • Experience in developing accounting policies and technical documentation
  • Understanding of internal controls in financial reporting (SOX experience is a plus)
  • Fluent command of English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an international environment
