Project Overview

Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility.

Job Summary

Join our Talent Acquisition Team where innovative talent acquisition professionals build credible relationships with leaders to deliver exceptional candidates. This role will blend full life‑cycle recruitment and hard‑to‑fill needs using integrated talent strategy development where consultation, data‑driven storytelling, and collaborative partnerships will be fully leveraged. As an integral part of our TA function, our Diversity & Inclusion sourcing efforts serve as a pipeline of high potential talent into the organization for more engaged employees. We are currently looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team and elevate our business impact.

Major Responsibilities

  • Full lifecycle recruitment of candidates including sourcing, pre‑screening, interviewing and extension of offers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with applicants.
  • Partner with other talent acquisition team members, which may include TA coordinators and sourcing support, to ensure that position recruitment strategies are being enacted.
  • Manage candidate relationships to enhance candidate experience.
  • Search and build for diverse candidate pipeline and cultivate positive relationships with active and passive candidates.
  • Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interview applicants on a consistent set of qualifications.
  • Sourcing of passive candidates using various recruitment tools/techniques as needed, LinkedIn, Google X‑Ray, own network of candidates, CV databases, etc.
  • Create and foster relationships with various professional organisations to attract and recruit niche candidates.
  • Host career fairs or attend networking events/conferences.
  • Evaluate Talent Acquisition metrics as needed to provide updates to management.

University Relations

  • Develop university recruiting strategies, identify target universities and on‑campus organizations for initial program build‑out with a focus on diversity recruitment.
  • Cultivate relationships with university career centers and student organizations.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent; preferred experience of working on roles across Poland.
  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws & compliance requirements; significant experience with full life‑cycle recruiting, familiarity with high‑volume and fast‑paced environments, preferably in‑house experience.
  • Prior experience in passive sourcing techniques and assessing talent for hard‑to‑fill or niche positions.
  • Understanding of Diversity and Inclusion channels in Poland through which we can attract a strong pipeline of Polish female candidates for consideration against posted positions.
  • Strong communication, relationship management, analytical and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of functional organization, matrix structure and organizational culture.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Behavioral interviewing techniques.
  • Training on Talent Acquisition systems & software (SuccessFactors, Applicant Tracking System, Candidate Relationship Management, etc.).
  • Strong planning and execution, written, and verbal communication skills required. Ability to present new recruiting concepts to leadership and technical communities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills.
