Description

As a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Specialist you will oversee direct spend management, collaborate with suppliers to optimize costs, and implement sourcing strategies for our Power Transformers Factory in Łódź.

You will negotiate agreements, measure gaps between estimates and actuals, and support material cost-cutting projects.

Additionally, you will be managing supplier performance, handling claim management, and assisting with SCM-related activities.

Your responsibilities:

1. Managing local allocated direct spend in accordance with instructions and guidelines.
2. Collaborating with suppliers and Category Managers to optimize cost, submit requests for quotation and drive cost savings projects.
3. Support and implement the HUB sourcing strategy in the factory.
4. Manage local or HUB allocated other direct spend.
5. Translate local requirements into Service Level Agreements with suppliers.
6. Identifying new suppliers, qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists.
7. Qualify all local assigned contractors qualification (CCQP) according to procedures and regulation.
8. Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renewing pricelists, terms, and conditions.
9. Supporting the material price and Terms & Conditions control throughout the value chain.
10. Supporting Factory SCM in material cost cutting and risk mitigation projects.
11. Measuring gaps between tender and actuals, investigating root causes, and taking adequate corrective/preventive measures.
12. Supporting tender material costing and running tender specific negotiations where applicable.
13. Supporting in liaison to Planning & Fulfillment team in the ERP data management under Supply Chain Management responsibility.
14. Supporting on analysis and reporting tasks.
15. Working on improving assigned supplier performance measurement and improvement tasks.
16. Supporting on assigned claim management to maximize compensation to Hitachi Energy and escalate as necessary.
17. Supporting on SCM related local activities for R&D, DTV, New Product Introduction, product cost improvement projects.

Your background:

1. Master’s degree in Logistics, Economics, Engineering or similar field.
2. At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement.
3. Very good knowledge of contract management, Microsoft Office and knowledge of SAP S4HANA is highly beneficial.
4. Fluent in Polish and English.
5. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
6. Experience working in matrix organizations (hierarchical reporting and functional reporting) is highly beneficial.
7. Team spirit and excellent communication skills.
8. Flexibility and ability to work independently.
