Your career opportunity

Engineering Foundation is an Enabler Value Stream that will enable and accelerate WPB engineering teams to develop resilient and performant applications, delivering value to the business more easily and quickly. This will be achieved through a fully managed strategic and cost optimised Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for developing and deploying applications to the cloud.

What you’ll do

• Create loosely coupled architectural framework, populated with technology options, and defining inter-connective patterns and approaches between components areas.

• Create platform roadmaps and ensuring cost effective, compliant, and appropriate architectures are developed.
• Own and maintain Platform application architecture.
• Maintain Platform integrity, ensuring reuse of applications and features for multiple Value Streams 
• Promote reuse of Platform solutions across Sub-Value Streams.
• Definie the key backlog items in line with the platform strategy for input into Value Stream or Enabler backlog.
• Support definition of non-functional requirements of the Platform.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Strong technical background with experience of delivering technology projects. 
• Experience in developing Java-based APIs and designing frontend experiences using Angular. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as Strong API development and hosting skills.
• Excellent in-depth knowledge of cloud services. 
• Strong understanding and implementation of DevOps.
• Excellent Stakeholder Management.
• Be conversant and comfortable in discussing technology strategy at senior levels of business leadership.
• Capability to influence and champion new ideas and technical direction within the organization.
