The principal responsibility of the Data Analyst is to enforce the Service Chain Mapping data standards being applied and to ensure data issues are progressed to resolution. The IT Service Chain architecture is an end-to-end view of the applications, database systems, platforms and infrastructure supporting an Important Business Service (IBS). It describes the inter-dependencies and relationships between IT Assets, providing visibility of how an IT failure may cascade and impact the resilience of the wider service. The IT Service Chain Mapping (IT SCM) is the primary technique for identifying the IT Assets supporting a given business service, including Important IT Assets

Analysis of data against a set criteria to identifiy potential data issues
Create and maintain a checklist to easily identify deviation from data standards
Stakeholder Management and communication
Gap Analysis and managing identified data issues through to resolution
Data Mapping
