Our Client is a global company from pharmaceutical/medical sector. EMEA Senior Tax Analyst is part of Regional Controlling organisation and is critical in ensuring compliance with VAT regulations and US GAAP requirements for VAT accounting. The role requires understanding of complex VAT and accounting matters, quick problem-solving skills and strong collaboration with other finance and non-finance teams.

Our Client is a global leader in the health-care sector. It is currently building new teams in a new competence center providing advanced financial services to the EMEA region.

Description

  • Ensuring compliance with VAT requirements in countries in scope.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate filings of VAT returns, as well as VAT related reporting.
  • Supporting VAT related internal and external audits and, if necessary, working with the regional tax team on preparing audit defence strategy.
  • Responding to ad-hoc VAT related questions from local authorities and other departments.
  • Monitoring indirect tax legislation and its impact on the organisation and processes for entities in scope.
  • Leveraging strong relationships with other finance and non-finance teams, as well as external providers, to support VAT process compliance and process improvements.
  • Ensuring adherence of processes to companys policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations; supporting strengthening of financial processes and controls.
  • Supporting local, regional, and global projects, as required and providing financial expertise in such projects.
  • Being an activate advocate of finance function.
  • Maintaining focus on continuous process improvement.

Profile

  • French or Spanish - min. B2 level
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience holding Masters degree in Finance/Accounting or being part qualified /qualified ACCA/CIMA
  • Proven experience in a multinational environment and/or audit, indirect taxes and strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible and "can do" mind-set.
  • Analytical skills
  • Strong reporting knowledge of tools including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint (experience in JDE, Blackline and W-Desk will be an advantage)
