About the role: Luna Playable Plugin is currently looking for a Unity developer for the Senior Engine Developer position. As part of our mission to provide games studios with the tools to enhance their creative production process for HTML5/JS Playable Ads. Playable ads are lightweight web mini-games which provide users with a real gameplay experience, quickly teach how to play and engage in the game to achieve wow effect in under 30 seconds. To achieve that we are building a custom lightweight JS runtime for Unity to allow our customers to achieve full game experience with small build size and great technical performance on all variety of mobile devices in Web context. Responsibilities: R&D - research and develop engine runtime features like RenderingPipeline, Physics, Animator Implement new features in LunaWindow - UnityEditor window to build playables. The goal is to provide instruments to customize and optimize builds to achieve Improve runtime technical performance: FPS, RAM usage, loading time by optimizing engine systems Implement API for engine systems Improve StartupTime for the engine Writing/maintaining internal/public documentation Example of tasks: Implement Rendering Pipeline features: URP, Dynamic Batching, RealtimeShadows Implement Physics components: CharacterJoint, MeshCollider Research WebGL2 specification and suggest features to implement with arguments and implement them Research glTF/glb formats, suggest feature to implement Optimise performance for Animation/Animator component Requirements : Wide an in depth understanding of Unity3d engine with at least 5 years of professional experience Great Math skills for computer graphics/physics applications Great skill in technical optimisation Good communication skills In depth understanding of C# language and .NET platform Great level of independent problem solving Intermediate level of English (B1) Nice-to-haves: Web games related experience - JS, Unity.WebGL, Three.JS, Playcanvas C++ WASM Experience in low level Graphics libraries - OpenGL, WebGL, GLES Engine development experience Benefits of working with us: Work in a highly professional team.
