Key Responsibilities
- Support a dynamic Americas CFCC oversight team focused on FCSO transaction monitoring case work, quality, system implementation and transaction monitoring, transaction screening and name screening (“Control”) processes.
- Support a team that provides oversight of all 1LoD control process as stated in the DOI’s and by employing a risk‑based approach to address financial crime/money laundering risks.
- Contribute to the publishing and socialization of results of oversight reviews and support discussions with the investigative teams to highlight identified exceptions and thematic trends.
- Support oversight on relevant FCCA control system changes.
- Support 2LoD Training to ensure issues identified are incorporated into training.
- Provide input to the 2LoD Oversight Team Lead FCCA, Head and TM & AI FCCA to ensure operational risk issues are logged and tracked in M7.
- Adhere to expected deadlines as stated in the DOI’s through proper workflow planning with existing resources and recommend appropriate process/DOI changes where required.
- Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment in area of responsibility.
Skills and Experience
- At least 4 years relevant Banking experience (Transaction Monitoring, payments, conducting anti money laundering projects, operations or services within the financial industry) and service‑oriented attitude.
- Correspondent Banking experience required.
- Quality Checker experience preferred.
- AML and terrorist financing Transaction Monitoring investigation/surveillance skills.
- Knowledge of key Money laundering regulations, financial crime patterns and the money laundering risks involved in the products and services offered by the bank.
- Working knowledge of Transaction Monitoring systems.
- Analysis skills: able to analyse data trends and out of pattern activities.
- Ability to independently assimilate, analyse and evaluate information from disperse data sources to determine a course of action (e.g. case closure or escalation), and record and communicate this decision clearly and concisely.
- Banking knowledge in terms of customers, products and transactions with expertise in at least one customer segment (retail, corporate and institutional banking, private banking, correspondent banking, Trade).
- Proficient communication in English (articulation and writing).
- Open‑mindedness and motivation to learn new things.
- Professional certification preferred but not required.
