Senior Software Engineer (Java/AWS)

Your new company 

is a European state-owned energy company, focusing on generating and selling electricity and heat. We are currently recruiting a Senior Java Software Engineer for the IT Operation Center in Wroclaw. If you are passionate about technology and sustainability, we encourage you to apply. 

Your new role 

You will be involved in the development of projects related to the Polish district heating industry. 

What you39ll need to succeed 

• 5+ years of experience in Java development (backend applications)
• the ability to translate business requirements into technical solution architecture

• good knowledge of AWS components and services
• strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases
• focused on code quality and cost efficiency
• very good work culture (tasks reporting in JIRA, coding according to standards, testing, writing the documentation)
• ability of fast learning new things
• ability of proposing new solutions and improvements
• ability to work 2 days a week in the Wroclaw Office
• good English both spoken and written
• excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment
• strong organizational and time management skills
• ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure
• leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior team members
