About the project
In this role, you’ll contribute to a banking app for a leading financial group in Japan. The team is contributing to the fintech project providing loans to funds managed by asset managers. The app is hosted on a stand-alone AWS account. This role involves mostly manual testing with some automation testing.
Your responsibilities
- Actively engage in Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Daily standups.
- Design and document test cases using the TestRail test management tool.
- Contribute to developing new test cases using the custom automation framework with Python and Selenium wrappers. or automated testing.
- Explore edge cases and user behavior beyond standard test scenarios.
- Assess backlog items, identify potential risks, and ensure well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Provide developers with clear, concise, and actionable bug reports.
- Proactively suggest and implement improvements to the team’s testing processes.
Our requirements
- Advanced English in speaking and writing (you will be working in an international environment).
- Four or more years of Quality Assurance experience.
- Proficiency in test case design using tools like TestRail.
- Proven experience in test automation with Python and Selenium.
- Experience in Agile environments, actively participating in Scrum ceremonies.
- Strong analytical skills to identify edge cases and assess user behavior beyond standard test scenarios.
Optional
- Commercial experience with PyTest.
- Experience with performance, integration, and regression testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and build automation tools.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and web services testing.
- Exposure to cloud-based environments such as AWS or Azure.
