Project Description

For our client in the capital markets industry, we are building an agile team to engage in the development of a centralized system. Our technology stack contains Python, SQL, C#/.Net, Messaging (IBM MQ), and reporting (Jasper report + Python based report). We have processes running both on-prem and in AWS, utilizing over 30 AWS services related to Compute, Storage, Database, Code Pipeline, Authentication and Authorization, Notifications, etc.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development using Python and SQL
• Work with other in-house application development teams responsible for payment processes, collateral, accounting, and regulatory reporting processes in the bank
• Continuous improvement of the development and release environment, tooling, and processes

Skills

Must Have

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on development using Python and SQL
• Very strong experience and knowledge in SQL
• Good understanding of computer fundamentals - OOP concepts, basic data structures, algorithms, relational algebra, basic understanding of networking, cloud computing, etc.
• Knowledge of finance - experience with trade flows and trade processes
• At least basic experience and understanding of Messaging concepts
• Good problem-solving skills
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum projects
• Experience working with a global team, good communication, and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Jasper
• C# knowledge
• AWS experience
