We’re Markets & Securities Services IT Poland, a technology department providing technology services and solutions for the Investment Bank businesses at HSBC. Systems we create enable transactions across multiple asset classes. Our teams work in partnership with the business counterparts to deliver high-throughput systems, from low latency trading applications to large Microservices platforms. We also perform architecture and cloud migrations. eRisk are responsible for electronic pricing, trading, risk management and data analytics in Foreign Exchange. We are a team of around 70 people located in New York, Toronto, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, London and Krakow. Many functional applications are written in Java, we use various open-source solutions for tooling and there is a growing need to support other languages such as python and JavaScript.
We are looking for a talented Python developer to create new and maintain existing applications in the quantitative research area of the electronic FX trading, who is also open to learn new languages and paradigms. You will be part of a wider dedicated team of polyglot language developers who are responsible for delivering various research and production applications in Java, Python, KDB/Q, JavaScript. You will work in a pod split between Krakow and London heavily integrated with the various development teams and quantitative research analysts and traders.
responsibilities :
Develop and support research applications for electronic FX trading.
Analyse the historic data as part of the FX trading research initiatives.
Run historic simulations and automated processing of their results.
Be a key contact in providing technical expertise to research analysts.
Continuous improvements of the research/ML platforms and tools.
Be responsible for all aspects of delivering software to users.
Development, automation testing and deployment of small and frequent releases.
Liaise with the key stake holders on features and requirements.
Production availability of your service – if you build a service, you own the service.
requirements-expected :
Minimum 3 years Python experience in processing and visualising data.
Knowledge of all Python aspects, from the basic to advanced topics.
Expert knowledge of Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib frameworks.
Good knowledge of base algorithms, data structures, OOP, test-driven development.
Good knowledge of statistics.
Understanding of client-server architecture, databases.
Basic Linux skills.
English at least B2 level.
