Your Responsibilities

• Business (externally): Lead BI Projects from gathering requirements, data acquisition to report/dashboard presentation, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Business (internally): Be part of the Power BI dev seniors community to define best practices and propagate them within your Business Unit.
• Technical: Set up CI/CD processes for Power BI deployments with Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Mentorship component: Act as a technical mentor and guide for mid-level and junior developers (code review, advisory work, optimization work, best practice implementation).

Technical Skills

Power BI Development & Optimization

• Expertise in designing and optimizing Power BI reports, focusing on high performance and scalability.
• Proficient in advanced DAX, Power Query (M), and complex visualizations to support insightful analytics.
• Skilled in managing Power BI Service and Report Server, including security, administration, and publishing.

Data Modeling & Integration

• Proficient in developing efficient data models using Dimensional modeling techniques, ensuring accurate and fast data retrieval.
• Strong experience in integrating data from multiple sources, including SQL, Azure Synapse, and Power BI Gateway.
• Familiar with data integration tools such as Azure Data Factory and SSIS for connecting diverse data environments.

Tabular Editor & Microsoft Fabric

• Proficient in Tabular Editor to manage and automate Power BI model development.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric for integrating advanced analytics and data management within the Power BI ecosystem.

SQL & Database Technologies

• Advanced SQL skills, particularly in optimizing queries for large datasets across cloud and on-premise databases.
• Experience with Azure SQL, SQL Server, and other cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).

People/Communication Skills

Requirements Gathering & Client Collaboration

• Extensive experience in engaging with clients and stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements.
• Skilled at translating complex business needs into technical data solutions and ensuring alignment through workshops and continuous feedback loops.

Knowledge Sharing & Mentoring

• Passionate about mentoring mid-level and junior developers, providing guidance on Power BI best practices, DAX optimization, and data modeling techniques.
• Actively shares knowledge and promotes team growth through code reviews, training sessions, and technical workshops.

Languages

• Fluent in Polish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-have

Azure & Power Platform Integration

• Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Power Platform, and Power BI administration, providing end-to-end data and analytics solutions.
• Experience with integrating Power BI into enterprise environments using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
• Proficient in source control management and implementing CI/CD processes for Power BI report deployments.

Agile Development

• Experience working in Agile development teams (Scrum, Jira), focusing on continuous delivery and process improvements.
