Senior Platform Engineer (AWS)

Your responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services supporting payments, subscriptions, and entitlement management across iOS and Android platforms.
• Own and maintain Airflow-based data pipelines that move data from operational systems into Snowflake.
• Design and optimize data models in Snowflake to support finance reconciliation, product analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
• Collaborate with analytics engineers on data transformation layers using dbt or similar technologies.
• Develop internal tools and applications using React and TypeScript to enable self-service workflows for Finance, Operations, and Customer Support teams.
• Architect, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Drive observability, reliability, security, and operational excellence across platform services.
• Participate in on-call rotations supporting critical payment and subscription systems.
• Lead technical discussions, conduct design reviews, and mentor other engineers.
• Work directly with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Our requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
• Strong experience designing, building, and operating backend services in production environments.
• Deep hands-on expertise with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven experience building and managing data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
• Solid knowledge of Snowflake, including data modeling, performance optimization, security, and cost management.
• Ability to work across the full stack, delivering both backend services and frontend applications when required.
• Strong understanding of SQL, distributed systems, testing and quality assurance practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring and observability.
• Experience with payments, billing, subscriptions, or financial systems.
• Familiarity with Chargebee and Apple App Store / Google Play in-app purchase ecosystems.
• Experience with dbt, Kafka, Kinesis, and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Background in gaming, fintech, or other high-volume consumer-facing businesses.
