Role Overview

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development with a focus on Python
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field
• Experience architecting and building backend applications from design through implementation
• Experience with code optimization and performance tuning
• Strong knowledge of MSSQL (query building, table design, performance tuning)
• Understanding of full application development scope (authentication, API integration, build process, testing, validation, state management)
• Experience with source‑code control (Git preferred)
• Excellent communication skills
• Eager to learn and take initiative
• Analytical skills – troubleshoot and logically assess problems to determine solutions
• Documentation skills – represent ideas, requirements, and problems clearly and concisely

Additional Experience (a plus)

• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational database technologies
• Experience with equity‑financing‑based systems
• Experience working with financial market data from Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar sources
• Experience in the hedge‑fund industry or with financial instruments/software (research, risk management, portfolio accounting, reconciliation, order management, etc.)
