We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join the Allegro Ads team, working on Machine Learning projects for the Allegro advertising system. If you would like to apply for this position you should possess a deep knowledge of ML algorithms as well as a solid foundation and experience in deploying models to production. The candidate should be highly engaged in achieving team goals, co-defining project directions, and sharing the expertise within the team at various stages of projects.
Technologies you’ll encounter on the job are (among others): Python, GCP (Big Query, Composer, Vertex AI, Dataproc, Looker Studio), PySpark, Pandas, PyTorch/TensorFlow.
responsibilities :
You will influence the shape of Ads products and improve the experience of Allegro customers through the development of Machine Learning solutions
You will train Machine Learning models that meet Ads product needs and are aligned with strategic vision all in close collaboration with Product Managers
You will cooperate with Product Analysts in designing and conducting A/B tests for new Machine Learning solutions to measure the impact on key product metrics
You will deploy models to production and managing production-running models across its lifecycle (eg. monitoring their performance, diagnostics and improving) collaborating with Machine Learning Engineers and Software Engineers

We are looking for people who:
Graduated with a degree strongly related to statistical/mathematical modeling, such as Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Computer Science or similar major
Have at least 3 years of experience in data science with some models launched to production (on-line models will be an advantage)
Have deep understanding of statistical and ML methods
Have experience with large scale models and data processing
Have basic knowledge about Advertising business and technology (interested in Ads algorithms/recommendations systems will be an advantage)
Can translate business challenges into ML problems and tackle them using novel approaches
Are excellent communicators, able to convey technical information to semi and non-technical audiences
Fluently program in Python and use development tools with ease
Have an advanced knowledge of SQL
Know English at a minimum level of B2
