We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join a data-driven environment focused on large-scale data analysis, data modelling, and requirements management.

Senior Data Analyst (Big Data & Data Modelling)

Your responsibilities

• Perform IT analysis, investigative data analysis, and data modelling
• Drive and facilitate functional and non-functional requirements analysis
• Translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and IT analysts
• Analyse data models and ensure data meets business requirements
• Work with large-scale Big Data platforms and datasets
• Support the design and improvement of data solutions
• Participate in requirements refinement and stakeholder discussions
• Ensure transparency and alignment between business and IT teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement in data and analytics processes

Our requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Analyst
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases
• Experience with Big Data platforms and large datasets
• Hands-on experience with at least some of the following: Hadoop, Hive, Impala, PySpark, HQL
• Experience in data modelling and data analysis
• Experience with ETL processes and data-related requirements analysis
• Experience working with standardized data models (e.g. Canonical Data Model)
• Ability to gather, refine, and document business and technical requirements
• Experience collaborating with development teams, architects, and analysts
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English
• Experience with Python, Java, or R
• Experience with JSON and AVRO data formats
• Knowledge of DB2 or Oracle
• Experience using Jira and Bitbucket
• Banking or financial services experience
