If you’re interested in our Controllership Manager role, this could be your next step. We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller with team leadership and transformation skills to join Edgewell Personal Care – a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of over 25 brands.
Now, Let’s Get Down To Business
Within a Shared Services Centre (SSC) team responsible for the EMEA legal entities, including North East & Central Europe hubs: you will work with local professional advisors, local affiliate Finance & Controllership teams, the International Tax group and Outsourcing partners to ensure that allocated legal entities receive Controllership support and that all US GAAP, local statutory, legal, and fiscal obligations are met. You will ensure that all relevant Controllership reporting requirements from Area management and Corporate HQ are satisfied.
Here’s a sample of what you’ll get up to:
- Financial Accounting and Reporting – For the EMEA legal entities: provide timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, working capital and legal forecasts, statutory accounts and Management reporting on local GAAP and US GAAP basis, according to group policies and timetables.
- Talent Management – Develop and align the capability of the SSC Accounting support team to the business’ needs. Assess colleagues’ potential and support their development. Promote a proactive mindset to meeting business needs.
- Internal Controls – Evaluate and monitor process controls to ensure SOX compliance and the integrity and timeliness of Financial Accounting information and safeguarding company assets.
- Collaborate with local advisors, local affiliate Finance & Controllership teams, the International Tax group and Outsourcing partners to integrate Tax and Financial Accounting into the EMEA books.
- Compliance – Ensure all supported legal entities comply with external and internal requirements (statutes, law, fiscal, Local GAAP, US GAAP, SOX, Corporate policies).
- Balance Sheet Management – Ensure processes, controls and reports enable management of Controllable Working Capital and that balance sheets reflect assets and liabilities with proper support.
- Processes and Systems – Review and develop systems, tools and processes to ensure Internal Controls are effective and financial information is accurate and cost-efficient.
- Audit, Statutory and Taxation – Manage the Annual Audit process and timely filing of statutory reporting, Returns and Tax/VAT/Intrastat submissions.
- Team – Collaborate with EPC Finance & Controllership and global management to support corporate initiatives and share innovative practices.
- This position is responsible for the German and Poland Personal Care Affiliates, with potential tasks for other Affiliates and during absences.
- May perform additional project work to support corporate initiatives or changes to corporate structure (acquisitions or disposals).
Are You Ready to Show Us What You’ve Got?

What we are looking for:
- Qualified Chartered / Certified Public Accountant (or local equivalent).
- Graduate degree with emphasis on Accounting (preferred).
- Significant experience in an accounting role with a Controllership focus.
- Fluent in English and Polish (both written and spoken).
- Strong numeracy and experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Additional European languages – German is essential.
- Solid technical accounting knowledge.
- Strong computer literacy with SAP, Hyperion and Excel.
- Experience leading small teams and delivering to internal and external deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels.
- Flexible and adaptable to change; experience in FMCG is preferred.
- Broad exposure to local German or Polish GAAP accounting and reporting.
