About-project : A CSDC Engineer has specialised knowledge and skills in managing Data Centres, Cloud Environments, Enterprise SAN Storage, Hypervisors, Linux servers, BCDR Testing, Data Protection and Data Recovery. You will be instrumental in maintaining the stability, uptime, security, and optimal performance of critical IT Systems. Your ability to collaborate with your colleagues in the CSDC team and other IT departments will contribute significantly to the success of IT projects and the overall efficiency of DP World’s Core Platforms environment. The role is hybrid. responsibilities : Support the DP World Cloud, Storage & Data Centre infrastructure as directed by the Senior Manager, Cloud, Storage & Data Centre Manage the DPW EUR Data Centres, ensuring they are aligned with DPW Group Data Centre standards and can stand up to any internal or external audits Assist with the design of Data Centres ensuring no single points of failure to enable High Availability and comprehensive DR provision for all critical systems Install, configure and manage Linux servers and software as required, using automation where possible Configure and manage Data Protection platforms including Commvault, Dell EMC Networker and Zerto Work closely with DBA, Network, Application, Systems and Service Desk teams on projects, migrations, upgrades, refreshes, architecture and other activities Carry out regular Disaster Recovery (DR) testing on key systems, including coordinating the resources to carry out the tests, proving out Recovery Point Objective(RPO), Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and ensuring DR procedures are up to date Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota as required SAN Storage, Cloud, Linux compute and related technology Perform other duties as assigned requirements-expected : Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a combination of equivalent professional training and certifications, combined with experience in Cloud, Storage and Data Centre Engineering Data Centre and Cloud based technology experience Ability to lead IT Projects, engage stakeholders, define project tasks, set deadlines and hold regular project meetings to ensure progress against tasks to committed deadline and keep people accountable Experience working Hypervisors including VMware and Oracle Linux VM Experience of VMware and SAN Storage Metro Clusters Knowledge of SAN Storage Systems, Fibre Channel Switches, San Zoning, IP based Storage. Experience of working in environments that include Red Hat Linux, Oracle Linux, MS Azure, Cloud, Storage & Data Centre solutions and offer essential support during projects and new deployments Strong experience working with Data Protection Software such as Commvault, Dell EMC Networker and Zerto Very strong technical background with proven in-depth analytical and problem-solving skills Strong knowledge and experience of working with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Grafana, Grey log Working knowledge of Ansible, Kickstart installation process, Shell scripting and other Open Source software that supports the Linux OS Experience following ITIL based Change Management and Problem Management processes Strong documentation skills including architecture diagrams using MS Visio Fluent in English and additional languages are a bonus benefits : sharing the costs of sports activities private medical care sharing the costs of foreign language classes
