For our Client we are currently looking for Candidates with 3+ years experience for the position of:
Health & Safety Officer Type of contract: contract (B2B by Hays Poland)Cooperation: long-term cooperation (first contract for 12 months)Rate: up to 4500 Euro per monthStart date: ASAP, max. within 1 monthRemote work: 100% remote / office in GdańskOperating Mode: 12h day 7x days per week - 3 weeks work /1 week offTravels – fully on the client39s side. In Europe, mainly Italy, France, Germany, Spain, UK
Our client is an international company in the maritime industry, specializing in the comprehensive outfitting of ship interiors, particularly for passenger and cruise vessels. With over 40 years of experience, the company combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technologies. It delivers turnkey projects—from concept and design, through production, to onboard installation. The company operates offices and production facilities in several countries, including a rapidly growing operations center in Poland.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure implementation and monitor compliance to company health & safety policies and procedures
- Assist in the development of project method statements and risk assessments
- Liaise with project management teams, client H&S representatives and subcontractors to ensure all health and safety requirements are met
- Carry out health and safety inspections, ensure sufficient action is taken to deal with nonconformities and complete reports of same
- Attend project meetings and obtain all necessary project information to adequate plan for health and safety
- Fulfil induction training requirements, deliver toolbox talks and assist in project health and safety training programmes
- Carry out accident investigation, complete reports and implement corrective actions
- All other duties within the reasonable scope of the Consultant’s expertise
The Ideal Person will:
- Be an experienced health & safety consultant with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Hold a valid NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
- Have a high level of English and Polish (written & verbal)
