Location: Katowice
The Project Controller is responsible for providing the information and analysis required to set up, control, measure, and manage the performance of the companys services throughout the project life cycle. Key responsibilities include developing estimates, establishing and maintaining time‑charge structures, managing changes, collecting progress data, analyzing performance and variances, and preparing reports. The role works closely with Project Managers and engineering discipline leads.
Responsibilities: 1. Safety
- Demonstrate a strong personal commitment to safety in all aspects of project execution.
- Report safety incidents and intervene in unsafe situations.
2. Project Controls setup and methodology:
- Confirm the progress measurement and earned value methodology.
- Initiate progress reporting and verify the project controls execution plan.
- Identify gaps, trends, and risks, and communicate findings to the Project Manager.
- Establish and maintain project control baselines.
3. Reporting and performance management:
- Define periodic reporting and meeting requirements, including content, format, and frequency.
- Publish and maintain the project reporting calendar with cut‑off dates, submission deadlines, and issue dates.
- Initiate and coordinate periodic project reporting.
- Produce regular engineering and project progress reports (weekly/monthly) using earned value methodologies.
- Maintain the forecast‑to‑go and estimate at completion (EAC).
4. Estimating, scheduling, and resource planning:
- Develop, verify, and validate work‑hour estimates and schedules for EPCM services.
- Set up time‑charge codes, budgets, and the work breakdown structure (WBS) aligned with the project schedule.
- Establish and maintain the EPCM performance measurement system, including baseline hours, costs, and progress curves.
- Collaborate with project team members to develop staffing plans and maintain the resource planning system.
5. Change and trend management:
- Develop and maintain the project change and trend registers.
- Ensure the EPCM services budget and forecast remain aligned with approved changes and trends.
Qualifications and Experience: - 2–5 years of experience in project control, ideally on medium or large multidisciplined E/EP/EPC/EPCM projects.
- Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver against deadlines.
- Experience preparing, consolidating, and presenting project and financial reports.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to work effectively with staff at all levels, as well as clients and vendors.
