We are looking for a Mid/Senior Backend Developer to join a project for a client from the telecommunications industry.

You will work on mission-critical backend and BFF services supporting digital, commerce, customer management and system integration processes used at large scale.

Work model: hybrid, 1–2 days per week from the Warsaw office

Seniority: Mid / Senior

Language: English B2+ required

• developing scalable, reliable and maintainable backend services,
• designing and implementing REST APIs / OpenAPI,
• integrating internal and external systems,
• working with event-driven architecture, asynchronous flows and distributed systems,
• supporting production systems, troubleshooting incidents and improving reliability,
• writing unit and integration tests,
• working with monitoring, logging and observability tools,
• collaborating with architects, frontend teams, product teams and technical leads,
• supporting a technology transformation towards a modern Node.js / TypeScript ecosystem.

• commercial backend development experience:
• Mid: 4+ years,
• Senior: 6+ years,
• strong Java 21+ experience,
• strong Spring Boot 3.x experience,
• experience with REST API design and OpenAPI,
• experience integrating multiple systems,
• understanding of event-driven architecture, messaging concepts and distributed systems,
• experience with unit and integration testing,
• production mindset: monitoring, logging, troubleshooting and reliability,
• English B2+.

Nice to have / strong advantage:

• Node.js / TypeScript,
• Express, Fastify or NestJS,
• Jest / Vitest,
• Kafka or RabbitMQ,
• GraphQL,
