The position of Product Technical Leader – Battery Management Systems (Railway) is located in our office in Cracow.
On This Position You Will
- Be part of a pioneering team shaping the future of railway decarbonation;
- Work in a certified environment with clear roadmaps for ISO 9001 and IATF compliance;
- Collaborate with global experts and contribute to high-impact mobility projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Battery Management Systems tailored for railway/industrial applications;
- Define system architecture and ensure alignment with railway standards such as EN 50126, EN 50129, EN 50657, and EN 50159 1;
- Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, electronics, software) to deliver integrated solutions;
- Oversee safety verification, hazard logs, and safety case documentation in line with RAMS procedures;
- Interface with certification bodies to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 22163;
- Manage engineering changes & timeline definition;
- Manage the BOM (including obsolescence management supported by internal and external services);
- Lead and participate in defining Hardware – Software Interface
- Deliver system artefacts (Documentation, models, concepts, V&V reports);
- Plan system maturity levels in details in project phase
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics Systems, or related field);
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical project leadership, ideally in railway or industrial battery systems;
- Strong multidisciplinary knowledge: systems engineering, electronics architecture, embedded software, and safety standards;
- Experience with commissioning and site integration is a plus;
- Fluent in English (B2 level or higher)
- Familiarity with railway-specific safety and quality standards;
