Product Owner/Product Manager (SimCorp Dimension)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Product Owner/Manager for core asset and investment management applications, especially in the Back Office area. Your focus will be on developing and operating SimCorp Dimension (SCD) and various applications in Liquid Asset Management while utilizing a high level of corresponding underlying MR IT support structures.

How you will get the job done

  • Collaborating with the Business Product Owner in a shared responsibilities model.
  • Managing business requirements and consulting business to fulfill business strategy, using market and technical innovation knowledge.
  • Developing, customizing and maintaining the Core Application SimCorp Dimension (SCD), especially in fund accounting (IFRS9 & HGB).
  • Being responsible for the whole service life cycle for the aforementioned products and services (e.g. including the definition of operational processes, KPIs and service level, functional and IT upgrades/releases, housekeeping).
  • Planning and aligning the product roadmap with the business on the basis of the target architecture, including necessary technical and security refactoring.
  • Initiating projects or conducting implementation of change requests, planning and executing product releases, conducting sign‑off procedures.
  • Handling the secure (e.g. through additional vulnerability testing) and stable (e.g. additional DR‑Testing) run of the product in production.
  • Being in charge for the product costs and management of the involved external staff (including procurement and provider management).
  • Engaging the respective MR standard ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change) for the services in your responsibility and the usage of ServiceNow.
  • Conducting the quarterly SLA meetings with SLA reporting, and consistent monitoring and analysis of the service quality in your responsibility, and identification of service optimization potentials.

Skills and experience you will need

  • Fluency in business English.
  • University degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Computer engineering / IT or similar qualification.
  • Gained experience in SimCorp Dimension (SCD).
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar position.
  • Familiarity with asset and investment management processes.
  • Customer orientation and customer communication skills, e.g. ability to present complex operation aspects and architectures in a clear and precise way.
  • Familiarity with analytical and concept work regarding complex application operation landscapes and architectures.
  • IT infrastructure, operation, development and technical architecture knowledge.
  • Strong assertiveness, self‑organized and proactive attitude.
  • Target‑orientation and willingness to learn.
  • Strong planning, organisational and negotiation skills, as well as good mediator skills.

Nice to have

  • Good command of business German.
  • Experience in existing back‑office functionalities, e.g. performance management, direct investments, Crystal Reports, SQL and additional applications in the Asset Management environment.
