• You support and coordinate ideas to reduce product costs at MAN and across the TRATON Group
• You manage your own cost-saving projects – for example, by checking if parts can be sourced locally, if technical changes are too expensive, or if logistics can be improved
• You work independently and think like a consultant: always looking for smart, long-term solutions from a purchasing perspective
• You bring people from different departments together (e.g. Engineering, Logistics, Purchasing) to find and implement cost ideas as a team
• You use proven tools and methods (like workshops with suppliers or internal teams) to come up with new ideas
• You represent MAN’s interests in meetings with other TRATON brands and help build synergies across the group
• You get involved early in development projects to make sure cost efficiency is considered from the start
• You help share knowledge and best practices between the different TRATON brands

Our requirements

• Bachelors degree in the field of business administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive / production engineering or technical vocational training with several years of professional experience
• Experience in project management; knowledge of agile methods (e.g. SAFe) is a plus
• Knowledge of procurement processes and systems, as well as technical understanding of product structures, manufacturing processes/procedures and supply chains
• Language Skills: fluent in business English (C1); proficiency in German is beneficial
• Strong analytical skills and quick understanding of complex topics
• Structured and independent working style with a high level of initiative and the ability to identify and manage product cost optimization initiatives
• Confident communication with internal and external stakeholders – including (top) management
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in an international, cross-functional environment
