Process Engineer (chemical processes)

The person holding this position is responsible for ensuring the stability of chemical processes in terms of process technology and for optimizing and developing based on the best available solutions.

Responsibilities

• Organization of the production process (process definition, process parameterization, standardization of production stations)
• Developing improvement projects and proposing new solutions to optimize the production process/technology
• Solving process, chemical, and quality problems
• Creating process documentation (creating work standards, job instructions, and procedures)
• Participating in the design and bidding of production lines, implementing new technologies, process and product changes, and selecting tools
• Participating in machine acceptances, new launches, and transfers of production lines
• Analyzing reports, production data, and quality data
• Achieving goals defined within KPIs
• Effective communication within the department/team/company and with the companys contractors
• Other tasks arising from the supervisors orders and instructions
• All tasks related to this position must be performed in accordance with occupational health and safety, fire protection, and environmental protection standards

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of chemical processes (related to the application of KTL coatings, powder coating, chemical surface preparation, painting technologies, e.g., cataphoresis, and wastewater pretreatment)
  • Experience in preparing process documentation in accordance with IATF16949, experience in the automotive, aerospace, or other industries using automotive standards
  • Practical knowledge of 5WHY, 8D, FMEA, and 5S
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools
  • Project management in the implementation of new products, technologies, and production stations
  • Higher education in chemistry or, optionally, in engineering
  • Very good command of both English and Polish
  • Willingness to learn, improve qualifications, and share knowledge and experience
