The PLM Training & Support Specialist will report directly to the PLM Training & Support Manager and will work directly with our PLM team across Europe, Asia Pacific and Americas regions. This position is responsible for and will have direct involvement in the following duties and responsibilities :

Systems Administration

  • Monitor and administer all aspects of CAD systems, OEM CAD software environments, configuration of data exchange integration, operation and performance including but not limited to the following key areas
    • NX, CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Inventor applications
    • myPLM tool to manage customer/OEM environments
    • CAD Integrations to Teamcenter
    • Partner Data Exchange platform
    • CAD System installation, deployment, licensing and operation
    • Data Quality utilities


  • Directly perform configuration in key areas including
    • Data Exchange Integrations
    • Management of customer/OEM software environments via myPLM application
  • Collaborate with fellow configuration team members (onsite and offshore) supporting integrations related to CAD connectors to Teamcenter and data exchange components


  • Plan, design, develop and implement software build automation processes and methods for the CAD supported activities to our Teamcenter PLM environment, including all activities to ensure code and configuration files are well managed, revision controlled, tested and packaged ready for deployment to Production
  • Establish, maintain and administer the software code repositories for PLM applications
  • Develop detailed Build Planning documentation to clearly identify all actions required in build configuration and deployment
  • Manage and consolidate configuration output and contributions of global development team
  • Manage and drive build validation plan and execution of validation activities by PLM team, Subject Matter Experts and business partners
  • Develop processes and methods to automate Build Deployments
  • Manage and drive Build Deployment activities

End User Support

  • Operate PLM Help Desk and respond to support requests from business users
  • Provide technical and mentoring support
  • Systems administration as appropriate
  • Participate in End User Support activities where high level configuration expertise adds value

User Training

  • Participate in or lead user training activities as required
  • Update and maintain Web Based Training materials to ensure accurate representation of use cases per deployed configuration
  • Develop and produce end user training videos to support self-serve training options for user community


  • Contribute to the creation of IT documentation including but not limited to;
    • Configuration Guide
    • Deployment Guide
    • Support Guide


The PLM Training & Support Specialist is committed to excellence and innovation in the field of CAD and PLM integrations and should have proven experience and results, demonstrable capabilities and other qualification requirements including:

  • 5 years minimum Teamcenter and CAD experience
  • High degree of debugging and problem solving capabilities
  • Demonstrated Business process improvement experience
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be a persuasive and passionate communicator
  • Proven ability to work with, motivate and inspire a geographically and culturally diverse cross-functional team
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities
  • Ability to provide technology solutions that meet the business needs while staying within budget and often rapid timeframes
  • Must demonstrate passion, creativity, integrity, positivity and be mission driven, self-directed and hungry to learn
  • Results oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability and desire to solve complex software problems
  • Must be able to think strategically and critically, synthesize complex issues an information and manage the implementation of change

  • Willingness to travel as required


  • Knowledge and skills of computer systems analysis and product development technologies typically evidenced by 5 or more years of experience and an associate’s degree in a related field (IT, Engineering, CAD systems, other related)
