Piping Lead Engineer – Subsea Manifolds Systems

The Piping Lead Engineer – Subsea Manifolds Systems is responsible for piping design and analyses and supporting mechanical engineers to develop design solutions for Manifolds as a part of projects, tenders or programs.

Typical tasks and defined responsibilities in the role

  • Structural verification of manifold piping and tubing
  • Create necessary structural design reports and drawings
  • Be part of a design team within manifold system projects
  • Work with other Engineers and management to develop design concepts
  • Contribute to team effort to meet project milestones and needs
  • Consider safety, quality, cost and manufacturability in designs

Essential Responsibilities

  • Establish technical requirements based on customer functional specifications and project needs in compliance with international codes and standards
  • Lead and contribute to design development activities such as CAD modelling and documents creation ensuring alignment with requirements and schedule
  • Work cross‑functionally with other engineers and departments to align interfaces, design, activities, and deliverables
  • Present analyses and design outcomes in design reviews when needed
  • Provide engineering support to program management
  • Support the sourcing team through procurement, manufacturing and test of designed products

To be successful in this role, you will

  • Have a master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Have good understanding of piping design codes (ASME, API, DNV)
  • Have a robust mechanical design background
  • Be proactive and willing to take ownership and responsibility
  • Have good oral and written communication skills, fluent in English
  • Be results oriented
