About the project
We are looking for a talented software engineer to join our dynamic team working on the Giftpro product. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in software development and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining innovative and scalable software solutions, ensuring top performance and reliability. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, participating in technical discussions, and delivering high-quality software while following best practices and industry standards.
Your responsibilities
- Contribute to technical specifications, estimate tasks, and produce delivery timelines.
- Actively participate in sprints planning and execution (using JIRA), ensuring timely progress of tasks.
- Participate in regular project progress reviews.
- Contribute towards the development of the core Giftpro platform.
- Integrate projects with various third parties.
- Maintain proper change control, versioning, and quality assurance for software delivery.
- Deliver appropriate documentation for both processes and software.
- Collaborate with partners and colleagues to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
- Know, understand and comply to software engineering best practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends and contribute to technical strategy.
Our requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality products.
- Proficiency in PHP and experience with development using the Symfony framework.
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience with project management tools like JIRA for task scheduling and sprint management.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in both software and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and services (e.g. EC2, S3, SQS, SNS).
- Solid understanding of relational database technologies (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL).
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle, agile methodologies, and DevOps principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- A proactive, self-motivated individual, capable of taking ownership of tasks and driving to completion.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with a passion for staying current on industry trends and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including system architecture and design specifications.

The partnership launched a new payments business, ClearAccept, to deliver this service, by assembling a highly accomplished team with a track record of successfully launching new payments technology. Our innovative payments platform is built using a cloud native microservice architecture running on AWS using serverless infrastructure (AWS ECS + Fargate). We store all our code in GIT and use Git flow as our branching strategy. Our CI/CD process is managed by our DevOps team using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and all our services are covered by automation tests using BDD. All our services are developed using a minimum of dotnet core 3.1 with C# and we develop API first. We provide a REST API that allows other platforms to integrate with us. We store our data in various database engines managed by AWS (Aurora using PostgresSQL and DynamoDB). We utilise services from the cloud provider where possible.
