Your responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of the Medical and Professional Affairs strategy, including external stakeholder management, Government & Corporate Relations communication, and project developments accordingly. Execute Medical and Professional Affairs plan.
- Develop medical strategy in-line with local marketing strategy and the implementation of the integrated medical plan for each assigned product and brand.
- Coordinate and execute Advisory Boards Meetings/Category Task Force/ Scientific Committee & Meetings, Steering Committees.
- Responsible for external engagement: professional associations, conferences, congresses etc..
- Responsible for External Experts Management: Academia, Schools, Universities, Eye Care professionals and related communication
- Responsible for communication of medical information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of categories areas by reviewing the materials, literature, discussions with external experts and key stakeholders, participating in cross- functional interactions, attending scientific congresses, etc.
- Ensure compliance with medical, regulatory, legal and ethical standards
- Lead, Manage and Mentor Local Medical Liaison team
- Ensure the medical and product high education level of medical team in cooperation with Leonardo team.
- Plan, track and report the visits of the Medical Team coordination with the Regional Managers and Sales Team.
- Plan Medical Trainings in cooperation with Leonardo team, track and report.
- One of the first objectives will be to increase the awareness, relevance and impact in terms of prescriptions of Essilor Stellest lenses for control of myopia progression in children, of Varilux, Essilor Progressive addition lenses and Transitions, light management lenses.
- You and your team will provide subject matter expertise and coordination for the localization of medical assets/materials, prepared by the Medical Affairs corporate team, ensuring compliance with the legal context and alignment with practice in our country. You will be responsible for identifying the reference ophthalmologists to obtain necessary validation when required.
- You will monitor and analyse the trends and clinical-scientific developments to ensure that the companys products and services are in line with the best practices of the market community and will encourage the constant updating of your team.
- You will attend professional conferences and other industry events to maintain awareness and share insights.
- You will monitor developments in the use of new digital technologies in areas related to Medical Affairs by sharing information and actively proposing new ways that allow us to increase reach towards our medical interlocutors.
Our requirements
- Bachelor / Master degree in Optics /Optometry/ Vison Science, Business Administration is a plus
- At least 5-10 years of experience in medical sector
- Experienced in reviewing the medical materials, literatures
- Mastery of basic IT tools is essential (Pack Office, Web, etc.)
- Advanced English
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Strong leadership and management skills, experienced in team management
- Driving License cat. B
- Business acumen
- Results-oriented with ability to prioritize
- Managing in a changing and often fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving orientation
- Active listening skills, ability to convince and empathic intelligence in reading interlocutors
- High degree of availability (travel, visits, evenings, conferences, etc.). even on weekends
