Manager, R&D Procurement – Functional Service Providers
Manages one or two categories/commodities.
Complex sourcing and category management role in GSK.
Key role in strategy development.
Develop strategy for the procurement of categories within the broader FSP group of categories, designed to ensure high quality of services and ensure GSK’s competitive position.
Collaborate within team and key stakeholders to deploy strategies globally/regionally, facilitated by robust implementation and transition plans.
Generate value in terms of quality, delivery, and cost; contribute significantly to organization’s goals and objectives.
Contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation and maintenance; manages / monitors ongoing negotiations with 3rd parties.
Champions the sourcing group management process and policies across functions and links these to GSK’s strategic direction.
Knows and utilises business processes in all GSK supplier transactions, including all risk/ regulatory/ compliance requirements.
Implements and supports procurement strategies to maximise supplier leverage.
University Degree in Procurement, Business, Finance, or Science.
Relevant experience in procurement.
Significant external supplier knowledge through previous experience or market research in-role.
Proven negotiations and contract management skills.
Market knowledge of supplier capabilities (current and future) is required to acquire and maintain competitive advantage.
Contracting experience required, including a thorough understanding of contracting fundamentals and experience with contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation and maintenance.
Experience delivering quality, compliant, timely, well-specified agreements to generate a clear return on investment for GSK.
English proficiency (written and oral), other language will be a plus.
May work across multiple countries requiring high cultural awareness.
