Own and scale production concepts (modular layouts, tooling, equipment) and global standards for product routings, efficiency calculation, and tool/equipment selection. Deliver production concepts for new products that ensure safe and efficient shop floor operations, embedding ergonomics and Lean (Kanban, SMED, single piece flow, visual management). You will co-govern the Manufacturing Excellence (GMT) community and drive the global adoption of standards and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design & Standards: Define global standards for production concepts, layouts, tooling/equipment and product routings. Engineer efficient line designs with optimal resource utilization and builtin ergonomics and safety. Define efficiency calculation methods (e.g., time & motion, takt, line balancing) and tool/equipment selection criteria.
• Implementation & Improvement: Lead global roll outs of standards across layouts, tooling and concepts. Support NPI with layouts/tooling and operational readiness to achieve firsttimeright. Partner with Automation on mechanical design and vendor evaluation; integrate Industry 4.0 principles.
• People & Community: Build team capabilities, educate sites on global standards, and actively steward the Manufacturing Excellence community (GMT) through playbooks, benchmarks and governance.
• Compliance & HSE: Ensure CE compliance of concept designs and documentation. Champion ergonomics and safe workstation design.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering; 8–10 years in manufacturing/industrial engineering/ME or related roles.
• Strong grasp of manufacturing processes, design principles, quality methodologies.
• Proficiency in Time & Motion, ergonomics and Lean (Kanban, SMED, single piece flow, visual management).
• Familiarity with automation/robotics and Industry 4.0.
• Excellent English; strong stakeholder management; proven change leadership.
