London Market Test Manager
Your responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute comprehensive testing strategies for messaging systems, ensuring alignment with the business goals of London Market operations.
- Oversee integration, functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure smooth system implementation and reliable performance.
- Work closely with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to gather testing requirements and ensure all testing meets defined criteria.
- Act as the main point of contact between the testing team and stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and developments.
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure team members are optimally utilized to meet project timelines and objectives.
- Ensure all testing activities adhere to London Market regulatory requirements and industry best practices, including data protection, confidentiality, and auditability.
- Proactively identify risks early in the testing cycle and implement mitigation strategies to maintain high quality and reliability standards.
- Analyze test results, prepare detailed reports, and provide metrics for stakeholders, highlighting key findings, defects, and recommendations for improvement.
Our requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Test Manager, with a strong background in the London Market or insurance sector, and a thorough understanding of market-specific processes, products, and regulations.
- Hands-on experience with messaging systems implementation and testing, including XML/JSON messaging formats, middleware, and integration platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of London Market electronic messaging standards (e.g., ACORD, EDI, Web Services, APIs) and their influence on testing strategies.
- Proficiency with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on risk assessment and ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel if required.
- ISTQB Test Manager or an equivalent certification.
- Relevant London Market or insurance certifications (e.g., LLMIT, CII Diploma in Insurance).
