At Sappi, our Logistics Operations Team is a vibrant group of professionals who keep our supply chain running smoothly. This role focuses on Overseas Transport Planning, where you’ll help coordinate international shipments, optimize transport costs, and ensure smooth communication across teams.

Depending on your experience, we’ll tailor the role to fit you best, whether you’re just starting out or already have some planning experience.

Responsibilities

  • Executing Transport planning using different means of Transport
  • Coordinating and scheduling of delivery dates and implementation of system-based planning
  • Responsible for operational and daily freight purchasing, especially in case of order peaks and spot transactions
  • Ensuring punctual, economical and sustainable order fulfilment
  • Supervising of outsourced transport planning and operations Overseas.
  • Executing and monitoring operations for all transports of Sappi from several shipping points.
  • Contact person for transport and warehouse-related questions in day-to-day business and troubleshooting
  • Maintaining and cleaning of data in the relevant systems (SAP TM and EWM)
  • Coordinating the documentation process for shipments (mainly Overseas containers)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master degree, preferably within Logistics
  • 1–2 years of experience in transport planning or Logistics
  • Fluent English (German is a plus)
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
  • Comfortable working under pressure and with international teams
  • Good MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook); SAP experience is a plus
