Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE (GSBE), a significant institution under direct ECB supervision, headquartered in Frankfurt and operating branches in other EU locations, has recently significantly expanded its business, including in its Investment Banking, Global Markets, Asset Management and Consumer & Wealth Management divisions, supported by its Legal Division. We also support a series of regulatory reform initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES We are recruiting a qualified lawyer working from our branch in Warsaw, working closely with colleagues in other locations, primarily in the Frankfurt headquarter of GSBE, on corporate secretarial, corporate and banking regulatory matters (the latter including outsourcing and recovery and resolution matters). You will also be involved in new business initiatives and assist with the implementation of regulatory projects. QUALIFICATIONS We are targeting qualified lawyers from 2 years PQE, although would be willing to consider candidates with a different experience profile The work will involve exposure to business and entity management and other internal stakeholders as well as outside stakeholders like auditors and regulatory authorities Candidates will need to demonstrate a profound knowledge in corporate law and/or banking law and regulation and relevant post-qualification experience either with a reputable law firm or as in-house counsel, preferably within a financial institution The work will be conducted in English, additional German language skills (to conduct relevant research) are a plus.
