The Opportunity We are looking for a Lead Python Engineer to join our Data Science team and help create cutting-edge solutions for our Marketing Intelligence Engine Platform. The ideal candidate would have hands-on experience implementing solutions in a modern architecture stack. They should enjoy working in a startup-like environment and be able to function well independently or in cross-functional teams. Qualifications: Qualifications and experience: Willingness to lead by example, take personal ownership and strong commitment to deliver high-quality results to meet customer’s needs; Possessing a team spirit attitude, desire to help someone needing a help, share knowledge and relevant insights; 5 years of commercial experience in software development with Python; Familiarity with Python'data stack' (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn); Familiarity with one ormore machine learning technologies: (XGBoost, Tensorflow, Keras); Some experience developing APIs within a web framework such as Flask/ Django/ Ruby on Rails preferred; Good understanding of SQL/RDBMS (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL); Experience with generaldevelopment best practices: Git, Test-driven development; Showing a global mindset and respect towards local as well as diversity and inclusion; Sound written, oral, and organizational skills; Go-getter mindset - willing to take initiative to solve problems without prompting by supervisors. Nice to have: Background in data engineering and machine learning models; Any exposure to marketing mix modeling, digital attribution modeling a plus; Cloud-based deployment experience Docker/Heroku a plus; Any familiarity with AWS managed services is a plus; and Comfortable developing in Linux environments preferred but not required. Responsibilities: You'll be able to adopt the best engineering practices, which should help the team operate better and implement high-quality code; Hands-on development. Design and write clean, robust, well-tested code; Develop extensible architectures and frameworks, for others to leverage; Perform research and development to evaluate new technologies, ideas and communicate value for the company; Become an expert in theunderlying Machine Learning solutions that the team develops, configuring/extending them as necessary; Build data-pipelines that allow the platform to interact with various internal and external APIs and data stores; Document solutions, systems, and procedures.
