We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer / Consultant to join a strategic data transformation programme within the global banking sector. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale, enterprise-grade data platforms while leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineering teams.ZAKRES OBOWIĄZKÓW:  

  • Design, build and deliver scalable data engineering solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Lead the development and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration frameworks.
  • Work extensively with Hadoop, Spark and Splunk ecosystems.
  • Develop robust data processing solutions using Python.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of data ingestion, transformation and delivery.
  • Handle raw, structured, semi-structured and unstructured data across SQL and NoSQL platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with BI, Analytics and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and source control best practices.
  • Ensure high standards of service resilience, sustainability and governance within data engineering solutions.
  • Lead technical projects and provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Drive quality through unit testing, integration testing and automated testing frameworks.
  • Identify, analyze and solve complex data challenges in fast-paced environments.


WYMAGANIA:
  • Proven experience as a Lead Data Engineer, Data Engineering Consultant or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Hadoop, Spark and Splunk.
  • Advanced Python skills with experience in ETL pipeline development.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL technologies.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms and ingestion frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and version control systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience mentoring and developing engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) will be an advantage.
  • Understanding of risk management, compliance and governance in engineering processes.
