Project Overview:
Centralized Workforce Management System.
We are implementing a centralized, Java-based workforce management system to modernize time tracking, access control, and security workflows.
Scope: Configure the system, migrate data from legacy platforms to MS SQL, and develop custom scripts (Python, PowerShell) for automation and performance optimization.
Progress: 75% complete, with final phases addressing unique challenges through custom solutions and configurations.
This project ensures seamless integration and reliability, empowering clients with modernized operations.
responsibilities :
Install, update, and configure a Java-based application with an MS SQL database backend.
Manage application configurations to align with client-specific requirements using built-in functionalities.
Create, modify, and maintain scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and data handling.
Develop custom solutions to address system migration challenges, including data transfers.
Perform data migrations from legacy systems to centralized MS SQL servers, ensuring data integrity.
Conduct manual testing of new features developed by the R&D team and validate system configurations.
Act as the primary technical contact for project-specific support issues and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with developers, project managers, and technical trainers to achieve project milestones.
Analyze client challenges and propose effective technical solutions.
Share technical knowledge with internal colleagues and clients through documentation and training sessions.
requirements-expected :
Completed degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist for Application Development).
1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in databases, particularly MS SQL (knowledge of Oracle is a plus).
Experience with web and application servers such as Apache Tomcat or IIS.
Solid scripting skills in Python, PowerShell or Bash.
Strong understanding of Microsoft environments (Windows, Windows Server, Office); Linux experience (e.g., SLES, CentOS) is a plus.
Prior experience in software requirements documentation and system configuration.
Fluent in German, and communicative English
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and analyze technical challenges.
Experience in data migration, application management, and manual testing.
