Your future team:

Working from Poznań, you will be part of the global MES team primarily working out of Hedehusene, Denmark – where we create and deliver machines and production equipment as well as entire production lines for our international production sites. As an IT – Automation Engineer, you will join the Operational Technology & Electrical Project Management department and about 30 colleagues with strong engineering backgrounds within electrical design, automation technology, and project management.

When it comes to IT and automation, we are ahead of the competition, and you will deliver control systems, support factories and projects and help develop new technology in our ‘Factory of the Future’ where the sky is the limit. Join us to work on automation in global projects – from initial idea over development all the way to go-live and maintenance. And see your ideas come to life.

You will be the system specialist on the process and control systems in our production machines and production lines. This entails being part of our Automation team responsible for development, maintenance, and support within ROCKWOOL’s software systems for automation, control, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

A large part of your job will revolve around international projects where you will ensure unified setup of our MES systems responsible for the quality of our software.

1. Carry out development, implementation, and support of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in the ROCKWOOL Group.
2. Make service, commissioning, and training visits on-site.
3. Service and support ROCKWOOL Production facilities all over the ROCKWOOL Group.
4. Spend time diving deep into the ROCKWOOL processes to develop your knowledge on how we produce stone wool.
5. Operate in the field between IT and automation as our machines become more and more intelligent.
6. Travel up to 60 days per year to projects in our production sites in the US, Asia, and Europe.

What you bring:

As a person, you enjoy technical analysis, evaluating a design or solving a technical issue. You value quality in your deliveries and will thrive in a role where you contribute your ideas to our processes while remaining loyal to our overall standards and processes. This also calls for you to be able to communicate efficiently with internal customers in the ROCKWOOL subsidiaries as well as colleagues.

Furthermore, we imagine that you have:

1. IT programming skills (C#, SQL, and .NET Platform) and interest in software development.
2. General IT skills within network design, server settings, virtualization, security, etc.
3. Knowledge on data collection and handling in relation to databases (SQL), e.g. in Wonderware Historian or similar.
4. Fluency in English – additional languages are an advantage.

Additionally, it would be an advantage if you have:

1. Knowledge about Kafka.
2. Knowledge about PLC and SCADA systems (Siemens S7 and WinCC).
3. Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes and production efficiency.
4. Good skills within additional automation design software.
