For our Client we are currently looking for Candidates for the position of:

IT Procurement Consultant (EMEA)

Location: Warsaw
Branch: agribusiness and food processing, a global leader
Contract type: B2B (with Hays Poland)
Length: 9 months 
Rate: 130-155 PLN/h net
Start date: ASAP
Hours: business hours
Model: 100% remote is possible, with occasional visits / workshops in Warsaw (paid)


Role summary:
Department: Business & Corporate Services / Business Technology Procurement
Reports to: Strategic Sourcing Manager 
Position Summary: IT Procurement Consultant (EMEA) is responsible for executing sourcing strategies, managing vendor relationships, and supporting the end-to-end procurement process for the Business Technology (BT) domain. This role acts as a vital bridge between the BT stakeholders, Global Procurement, and external IT suppliers. The Consultant will manage indirect spend categories including Software (SaaS, On-Premise), IT Hardware, Telecommunications, and IT Professional Services, ensuring optimal pricing, quality, and compliance with Company's global standards.


What will you do:

1. Sourcing & Category Execution:
  • Create / Execute regional and global IT sourcing initiatives, RFx processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP), and negotiations for IT categories (Software, Hardware, IT Services).
  • Support the vendor engagement plan for critical/strategic BT vendors, ensuring alignment with global BT strategies.
  • Manage critical IT renewals proactively, collaborating with business owners to evaluate demand, licensing needs, and alternative market options.
2. Stakeholder & Demand Management:
  • Act as a business partner for regional BT leaders, understanding their demand intake process and translating technical needs into procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with Legal, IT Security, and Data Privacy teams to ensure all IT contracts comply with internal risk, governance, and compliance standards.
  • Align with regional finance teams (FP&A) to ensure IT purchases are within the approved budget guardrails (CAPEX/OPEX).
3. Operational Excellence & Procure-to-Pay (P2P):
  • Oversee the operational purchasing flow (from PR to PO) for IT categories in the region, ensuring timely execution and troubleshooting escalations.
  • Utilize SAP and other procurement tools to analyze spend data, track IT procurement analytics, and report on cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Procurement Policy, Code of Conduct, and internal SOX controls.
4. Regional Focus:
  • Manage IT sourcing activities across the European, Middle Eastern, and African markets


What we expect from you:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Indirect Procurement, with a proven track record specifically in
    IT/Technology Procurement (Software, IT Services, Hardware)
  • Solid understanding of IT licensing models (SaaS, subscriptions, enterprise agreements)
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and e-sourcing tools
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Data analysis
  • Strong understanding of EMEA-specific IT regulations, including GDPR implications in software and cloud contracts. Ability to navigate diverse local supplier landscapes across major European hubs
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Ability to drive commercial value and understand basic IT legal terms (SLAs, liability, IP rights)
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills to effectively challenge and support Business Technology/IT business owners
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field
  • Working Hours: Flexibility to collaborate seamlessly with the Global BT Procurement team based in the US (CST) and Europe (CET)
  • Knowledge of English on min. C1 level
