The Cyber Defense Analyst is a technical cybersecurity expert with cyber operations skills to rapidly respond to the threat environment, make decisions, and take actions to protect our customers and production environment. Cyber Defense professionals work with technology areas to maintain an Information System ecosystem free from high-risk vulnerabilities and develop security services that are tailored for our businesses and protect our clients.

The scope of this position is within the (insert here) Business and it requires close interaction with Cyber Security Operations units (ex: Security Operations Center, Cyber Security Fusion Center, Cyber Intelligence Center and others), Information Security Organization (ex: Cyber Risk Analysts, Cyber Architecture Analysts and Information Security Officers) and other stakeholders including Application/Technology Managers, business Managers, Enterprise Resiliency teams, and others.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Businesses, Functions and Technology staff on the remediation of vulnerabilities and un-secure configurations.
• Execute pre-production security assessments and proactive risk reduction initiatives.
• Work with Cyber Architects for design patterns for business-specific use cases.
• Work with Information Security Officers on the documentation of Issue and Corrective Action Plans.
• Support Security Operation Center and the Intelligence Center in the investigation of security events.
• Support Cyber Security Fusion Center in identifying the business impact of Cyber events and drive business/tech related activities in Cyber incident response lifecycle.
• Support Cyber-Exercise Team in exercise planning, execution and lessons learned activities resolution.
• Perform root cause and trend analysis of security incidents.
• Drive Cyber awareness in business/tech and act as liaison between CFSC Client & Engagement (C&E) and business/tech in delivering client-centric products.
• Participate and support Client meetings, tours, and workshops.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity incidents, threats, and technologies.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience as a Cyber Security professional or in a similar role.
• Additional technical certifications are preferred (ex: CISSP, CEH, GIAC, etc).
• Proficiency in using Cybersecurity tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection and others.
• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and guidelines, such as NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP, etc.
