What To Expect
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded, and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Legnica office, you will be responsible for the planning, directing, and monitoring of all procurement activities so that the goods, materials, supplies, and services the organization buys meet its standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Working with a scope of responsibility up to $15 million, youll establish and implement strategies for negotiating commodity purchase agreements based on in-depth knowledge of foreign and domestic markets for optimum pricing and terms. Additionally, you will manage efforts on cost savings initiatives in line with a profit plan and overall business objectives. This role will report to the Indirect Global Commodity Managers (based in Luxembourg).
Key Responsibilities (to Name a Few)
- This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be leading negotiations for the assigned portfolio of Indirect Spend categories.
- You will be acquiring and maintaining an understanding of technology trends, market forces, cost trends, and supplier technology road maps.
- You will be managing the supply base by establishing and maintaining measurable performance metrics for all of procurement to ensure total cost, as well as mitigate price increases and find an alternate supply base.
- Your fit in the organization will be acting as project manager (develop, manage and implement) for cross-functional teams to build stakeholder alignment (Technical, Engineering, R&D, Sales & Marketing, Regional and local teams, etc.) to meet objectives.
About You
- At least 5+ years experience in commodity management, indirect category management or CapEx.
- Proficient with Microsoft and MRP/Supply Chain systems.
- Excellent analytical and project management capabilities.
- Good verbal and written communication across regions, functions, and levels.
- You are recognized for your excellent negotiating capability.
- Good influence management skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
- A first experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- This position may require travel time of 30%+.
