Your new company
For our Client, an international IT services and digital transformation company, we are currently looking for an experienced Head of Business Applications to lead and further develop the Business Applications Division.
This role combines strategic leadership, full P&L ownership, business growth, and operational oversight of four Business Units delivering ERP solutions (SAP and INFOR) and custom software development services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring successful delivery of large-scale IT transformation projects, supporting organic growth initiatives, and identifying opportunities for further expansion through M&A activities.
Your new role
• Full responsibility for the financial performance of the division, including revenue, profitability and overall P&L management
• Define and implement annual budgets and mid-term business plans
• Monitor sales pipelines across all Business Units and track business performance against targets
• Ensure operational efficiency and cost optimization within the division
• Manage and support four Business Unit Managers, setting objectives, KPIs and monitoring execution
• Oversee sales activities, project delivery and service operations across the Business Units
• Ensure alignment of Business Unit strategies and operations with company and corporate objectives
• Supervise delivery of large-scale IT transformation projects, including projects delivered under a General Contractor model
• Identify business risks and ensure proper governance and project quality standards
• Define the future growth strategy for the division, including new service offerings and market opportunities
• Drive commercial growth and support development initiatives across all Business Units
• Analyze portfolio scalability, profitability and long-term resilience
• Identify opportunities to establish new Business Units or service lines
• Participate in M&A initiatives, including target identification, due diligence and post-acquisition integration
• Support talent development, succession planning and management team growth
• Promote a culture of entrepreneurship, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
What you'll need to succeed
• 5–10 years of experience within the IT services, systems integration or digital transformation market
• Strong understanding of ERP-related businesses, software delivery and large IT transformation projects
• Proven experience managing a P&L organization of approximately 60–120 FTE
• Experience working with subcontractors and external technology partners
• Strong understanding of project delivery models and managed services organizations
• Experience within public sector, energy, utilities or industrial/manufacturing environments would be highly beneficial
• Experience in M&A projects would be considered an advantage
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, KPI management and business performance analysis
• Good understanding of IT services models, including Professional Services, AMS, Licensing and IP-based offerings
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on operational leadership
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Solution-oriented approach and collaborative leadership style
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on business growth and value creation
• Fluent Polish and English
