Expert Data Scientist (IT Service Management / AI & Advanced Analytics)
For a client in the banking industry, the role focuses on improving IT stability through the use of advanced analytics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Neural Networks. The position involves identifying, quantifying, and mitigating IT risks, as well as developing predictive and prescriptive models that help prevent incidents, reduce their recurrence, and support continuous service improvement. A key part of the work is building Generative AI-based, fully automated self-reporting solutions, significantly reducing manual effort across IT Operations, including supplier performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement predictive and prescriptive analytics models for IT Service Management (ITSM)
- Build solutions for automated root cause analysis of business-critical IT system instability
- Reduce Mean Time to Restore Service (MTRS) and minimize incident recurrence and change-related risks
- Design, develop, and optimize Neural Network models for advanced analytical insights and ML parameter tuning
- Create Generative AI-based, fully automated self-reporting solutions to streamline IT Operations and reporting processes
- Automate IT Ops reporting, including supplier performance analysis and monitoring
- Support ITSM domains: Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Operational Service Improvement, Supplier Performance Management
- Analyze, process, and model data to generate actionable business insights
- Design and conduct hypothesis testing and build statistical models to validate business assumptions
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions in Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric
- Ensure high data quality, completeness, and adherence to best data practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to co-create data-driven solutions and innovations
- Work within a SAFe Agile Release Train (ART) and autonomous Scrum team
Must-have Skills:
- Expert knowledge of statistics and strong analytical thinking
- Advanced experience with Python (Machine Learning, data wrangling)
- Strong hands-on experience with T-SQL, Power Query, and DAX
- Proven experience with Power BI and/or Microsoft Power Platform
- Deep understanding of predictive analytics, statistical modelling, and hypothesis testing
- Experience in data mining, feature engineering, and data modelling
- Hands-on experience with Machine Learning model development, optimization, and classification techniques
- Knowledge of IT Service Management concepts and processes (ITIL or practical experience)
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or SAFe)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role
- Fluent English
