About the role:

Xperi seeks a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Operations Director to join our dynamic team and further enhance our engineering capabilities. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of nearly 300 professionals and talented engineers, ensuring smooth project execution, and driving the development of our TiVo OS. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in embedded software development, hardware, and frontend technologies, with proven experience in the TV industry, including broadcast, certifications, application onboarding, and collaboration with ODMs and OEMs.

What You Will Get to Do:

1. Oversee projects and activities, ensuring timely and successful completion.
2. Provide technical leadership in embedded software development, hardware, and front-end technologies.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop our TV operating system.
4. Ensure quality, performance, user experience, and compliance with industry standards and certifications.
5. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including customers, ODMs, and OEMs.
6. Address technical and process challenges, providing clear feedback to the engineering team.
7. Stay current with new technologies, tools, and industry trends.
8. Work closely with Global Senior Leadership to influence the future of TiVo OS and other products.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Proven leadership of cross-functional engineering teams and successful business transformations.
• Strong technical skills in embedded software, hardware, and frontend tech.
• Deep experience in the TV industry, including broadcast, certifications, and content onboarding.
• Experience with ODMs and OEMs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Customer-centric decision-making.
• Ability to work under time pressure, especially aligning with US West Coast hours.
• Data-driven and systematic problem-solving approach.
• Effective management of multiple projects and priorities.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Higher education in a relevant field, preferably with postgraduate qualifications or an MBA in project management.
