What You Will Do
- Inspire, lead, and grow a team of engineers building backend systems in Python.
- Define technical strategy and drive architectural decisions across APIs, data pipelines, and distributed services.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Platform teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
- Champion engineering quality through reviews, testing standards, and CI/CD best practices.
- Balance hands-on technical direction with people management and coaching.
- Drive continuous improvement around observability, automation, and performance.
- Manage budgets, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations with transparency.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years in leadership or management
- experience designing and scaling distributed systems and RESTful APIs
