EIB Trainee – Global Directorate – Advisory Services Division – Luxembourg

This position is based at our Luxembourg headquarters and requires regular office presence. The EIB offers you the opportunity to live and work in a truly international and multi-cultural environment.

Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1 April 2026). Possible extension up to 6 months if required by university.

Nationality: Only applications from nationals of EU member states and from candidate countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine) will be considered.

Applications overlapping with an Erasmus+ programme will not be considered.

Limit applications to a maximum of three traineeship publications; the first three submitted will be retained.

Responsibilities

• Develop implementation and monitoring plans for EIB Global advisory strategic matters.
• Participate in inter-Directorate coordination of Group-wide advisory change processes.
• Contribute to key deliverables regarding advisory procedures and manuals.
• Contribute to development of standardised documentation for advisory products.
• Contribute to development of data processing and key institutional performance measures for advisory activity.

Qualifications

• Final year of studies or university degree in Business Administration or another relevant field.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Capacity to convert a broad range of source materials into concise, action‑focused proposals.
• Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and spoken English. Knowledge of French or another EU language is an advantage.
